Dr. Bosede Airhia

Founder / CEO

Dr. Bosede Airhia has been in the education industry for more than 13 years. In that capacity, she has implemented and led several education initiatives in the United States. She is the President and CEO of Schekinah Mentors International in the US with global affiliations. She is a visionary who is passionate about empowering young people. A deep lover of education, she is driven to make society better by helping to find a solution to the problem of high school dropouts in the Greater Houston area, especially the Houston Independent School District. She has devoted her energy and resources to this goal. Schekinah Mentors has been the platform for the mobilization of youth and young adults to go back to school and take their education to a higher level. She believes firmly that education is key to socioeconomic and national development. Bosede has been very successful in convincing this set of individuals through the awareness campaigns mounted. For ex-convicts out of the prison, Schekinah Mentors International has also provided a place for them to take the GED, learn a trade, or be equipped with basic technology tools for integration into society or the workforce. Bosede has also recorded considerable success in this endeavor. Bosede has an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from Texas Southern University, an MS in Management Information Systems from Texas Southern University, and a B.Sc. in General Business Management from the University of Maiduguri. Dr. Bosede Airhia is happily married and has an adorable daughter.

Miss Oumoul Hairou Setamou

Director of curriculum development

Miss Oumoul Hairou Setamou is a Beninese American currently residing in San Antonio, Texas. Her undergraduate background is in Medical Anthropology, Public Health, and Women and Gender Studies. She is interested in concepts such as racial and gender equity in education, structural violence, the social determinants of health, and gender-based violence and how education, race, gender, and health and illness are discussed within the public health apparatus. Her research is grounded in the intersections of health and illness and the body within the context of post-colonial frameworks. Oumoul is an ELA teacher and curriculum development expert. She recently obtained a Master of Science degree in Reading Specialization, focusing on improving Literacy education for impoverished youth of color.

Barrister Aifuwa Igbinoba

Director of community relations

Barrister Aifuwa Igbinoba is a partner at Lex Luminar Attorneys in Abuja, Nigeria. He is a professional with over 15 years of experience as a legal and financial advisor. He has extensive knowledge of Nigeria’s financial markets and policies, having spent over a decade with one of the biggest financial institutions in Nigeria, FirstBank of Nigeria Plc. He provided expert strategic support and direction for the firm in the areas of Energy, Agribusiness, International trade, Infrastructure projects, technology, and media. He is presently a consultant to the Edo State Government on Social Mobilization under the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). Aifuwa Igbinoba obtained his Bachelor of Law (LLB) from the University of Benin, Edo State, Nigeria, and his Master of Law (LLM) in Energy, Environment & Natural Resources Law from the University of Houston, Texas, USA, in 2018. He also has a certificate in Negotiation and Leadership from Harvard Law School and a certificate in Sustainability Principles in Banking from the Lagos Business School Pan African University.

Dr. Friday Airhia

Chairman, Board of Directors

Dr. Friday Airhia has held various top management positions in diverse organizations, including multinational corporations. He has been involved in project developments in Africa and has provided consultancy services to various organizations and multilateral institutions. These include the collaborative World Bank-Nigeria MSME project for the Kaduna Rice Supply Chain Development Program and the Mobil Producing aquaculture community development project in Akwa Ibom State. Friday Airhia is multi-talented and brings to the organization his versatility and vast wealth of experience spanning more than 30 years in project start-up, project implementation, and management. Aside from consulting on leadership and business failures, he has an immense passion for non-profit initiatives that add value to society – in the United States and Nigeria. The area of youth empowerment through education is not new to him, as he was a lecturer in a higher education institution in Nigeria from 1983 to 1991. He holds a Master’s degree in Business/Public Administration and a doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Liberty University’s School of Business, Virginia, USA. Dr. Friday Airhia is also a real estate professional and investor in Houston, Texas. Dr. Friday Airhia is the Chairman of the Board and Director of Administration of Equity Learning Academy (ELA).

Dr. Earnest Airhia

Vice Chairman, Board of Directors / Director of School Advancement

Dr. Earnest Airhia is the founder/President/CEO and Clinical Director of Greenpath International Inc., a Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health Clinic in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is now the founder and CEO of Dr. E Addiction and Wellness LLC in New Orleans. He received his Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision (CES) at Walden University in 2015. He has extensive experience working with several organizations in New Orleans, including the New Orleans Criminal Court, as a case manager for offenders with Drug and Mental Health problems. In addition, he has vast experience and expertise in non-profit organizations and has helped them achieve their goals in both the US and Nigeria. Dr. Earnest Airhia has bagged numerous awards in his field, including the Unsung Hero recipient by the American Counseling Association (ACA), the Minority Fellowship Program award from the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), and the Excellent in Treatment award by the Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (CADA). His passion is community development and youth empowerment, and he is a trustee of the Clifford Ojeriakhi Imudia Memorial Foundation, which engages in medical missions in Edo and Delta states. Dr. Airhia has presented various topics at the Louisiana Association of Substance Abuse Counselors and Trainers (LASACT) conferences. His research work includes Predicting Post-traumatic Stress Disorder in Children with Prior Mental Health Diagnoses. He is the Vice Chair of the board of ELA and brings to the academy his passion for community development in rural communities.
