Role Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and tech-savvy basic school teacher who will facilitate learning in a hybrid digital classroom, blending Nigerian and American curricular content. The ideal candidate will create engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate lessons that promote literacy, numeracy, creativity, and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver engaging lessons.
- Use digital tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments, providing feedback to support individual learning progress.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports all learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues, digital content creators, and parents to track and support student development.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
- Participate in regular staff meetings, trainings, and school-wide initiatives.
- Uphold the school’s values of innovation, integrity, and inclusive excellence.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (with PGDE if the degree is not in education).
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in lower basic.
- Familiarity with both Nigerian and American basic education curricula.
- Passion for child-centered learning and commitment to educational equity.
- Proficiency in using digital tools such as Zoom, Google Classroom, or other EdTech platforms.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and G Suite
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- TRCN Certification.
- Experience in a digital or blended learning environment.
- Training or certification in American curriculum standards
- Basic skills in graphic or instructional design.
