Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and organised administrative officer to support the smooth operation of our school’s daily activities. As the backbone of our administrative team, you will work closely with the academy lead, handle vital school management functions, and ensure a professional first impression to all visitors, parents, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support & School Management System

  • Assist the Academy Lead in using and managing the School Management Portal
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical school records
  • Generate reports as needed for management, students, and staff on school activities

Payroll & Staff Coordination

  • Compile monthly staff attendance and pay details
  • Assist in preparing and reconciling staff payroll
  • Share approved pay slips and address related queries

Inventory & Procurement

  • Monitor and document stock usage (e.g., teaching materials, stationery, tech supplies)
  • Provide timely notifications for restocking and assist in procurement follow-up
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory log

Stakeholder & Front Office Engagement

  • Serve as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and vendors
  • Handle enquiries courteously and redirect where necessary
  • Provide general administrative support to staff and external stakeholders

Meetings & Communication

  • Take part in weekly staff meetings, contribute to discussions, and take minutes
  • Support internal communications and memo preparation
  • Maintain the  school calendar and notify staff of upcoming deadlines or events

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Education Management, or related fields with an Accounting background
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
  • Experience working with school management systems or digital platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Friendly, professional demeanour and ability to multitask under pressure
  • Knowledge of basic accounting/payroll tools
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small, fast-paced team
  • Proficiency with education management systems and student information systems
