Role Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled registered nurse to provide comprehensive health services to students, staff, and visitors at our fully digitalized basic school. The successful candidate will manage the school’s sick bay, maintain digital health records, and ensure the health and safety of our school community while leveraging modern healthcare technology and digital systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide immediate care for students and staff experiencing illness, injury, or medical emergencies
  • Assess and treat minor injuries and illnesses in the school sick bay
  • Administer medications according to prescribed protocols and maintain accurate medication logs
  • Recognize signs of communicable diseases and implement appropriate isolation and notification procedures
  • Provide basic first aid and emergency care until professional medical help arrives when necessary
  • Maintain comprehensive digital health records for all students
  • Generate health reports and analytics for school administration
  • Work together with the academy lead to discuss student health issues with parents.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate health education programs
  • Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, height, weight, BMI) using digital screening tools
  • Promote healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention among students
  • Organize health awareness campaigns and wellness programs
  • Manage sick bay inventory and medical supplies using digital inventory systems
  • Participate in school safety drills and emergency response procedures
  • Document all health-related incidents and maintain detailed digital records
  • Work closely with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student well-being
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student health concerns
  • Liaise with local healthcare providers and specialists as needed

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification
  • Additional pediatric or school health certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in pediatric or school health settings
  • Previous experience working with children ages 3-15 years preferred

Technical Skills

  • Comfortable using tablets, computers, and health monitoring devices
  • Basic understanding of health information systems and data privacy requirements
